Mouzon, who served as a gunner still has scars he received from an attack by a kamikaze pilot who slammed his plane into Gun Tub 10, a battle station of African-Americans and Latinos who served as cooks and waiters of the U.S.S. Intrepid (credit: http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/GunTub10.aspx) while fighting in the South Pacific in World War II. Ten men perished in the attack.
