The winner of this week's SunShots series "Industrial Age" goes to Robert Roys for his picture of rusted steel square pipes taken at the Baltimore Street Car Museum maintenance building. The photographer shot the photo at night with a tripod, a cable release and a Nikon D300. Using a long exposure, Roys "painted" the metal with a LED flashlight to get the dramatic lighting effect. Here is a critique by Baltimore Sun director of photography Robert Hamilton: "The photographer went through a lot to produce this picture and was very successful. The lighting effect accentuates the interesting structure of the metal, which was nicely composed. A picture like this takes thought, planning and execution."
