Rising junior goalie Brock Turnbaugh (Hereford) has orally committed to Johns Hopkins. The 5-foot-10, 200-pound keeper helped lead Hereford to its fifth straight Class 3A-2A title, saving 75 percent of shots, allowing three goals per game and earning All-County honors. A member of the Baltimore Crabs, he was also All-County in football and wrestling. Turnbaugh also considered Towson, Penn State and Navy.
A teammate of Turnbaugh's on the Baltimore Crabs, rising junior attackman Colin Chell (Boys' Latin), has orally committed to Ohio State. Chell also attended Brine Shootout and Nike Blue Chip camps. As a sophomore, Chell racked up 18 goals and an assist. He also considered North Carolina and Notre Dame.
- Midfielder Maximus Maxwell of Hamburg (N.Y.) High has orally committed to UMBC. Maxwell racked up 51 goals and 52 assists this year to lead Hamburg to a Section VI title and earn All-America honors. Maxwell also considered Marist, Hartford and Canisius.
- Midfielder Kevin Diehl (Calvert Hall) has orally committed to Quinnipiac. This spring, he was the Cardinals' sixth leading goal scorer in their MIAA championship run. Diehl plays for the Crabs in the summer and was also selected to the Maryland Freestate Game, as well as playing for Baltimore at the
Under Armourgames. He considered High Point and Marquette.
- Goalie Peter Hayes of Great Valley High in Malvern, Pa., has orally committed to Mount St. Mary's. A member of Baggataway LC and Rebel Elite, he attended MVP, Tri-State and Summer Sizzle camps this summer. Hayes also considered Lafayette,
Washington Collegeand Haverford.
