Brittany Nimmo Hurtt, 21, left, shares a happy moment with her son Trevor Hurtt, right, 19 months, and her husband Timothy Hurtt, center. Brittany is one of the oldest patients at the NICU. She was at the NICU from February of 1992 to March of 1992. She was told that her heart stopped a few times and was saved by staff at the NICU. After she was grown, she chose to give birth to her son at Howard County General Hospital because of this. Now they live in Delaware, but they used to live in Bowie. Howard County General Hospital held a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) reunion for the hospitals clinical staff and families of former NICU patients at Martin's West. There were about 400 people at the celebration.
