Mike Klingaman

A sports enterprise reporter for The Baltimore Sun, Mike Klingaman writes human-interest stories, historical profiles and a weekly retrospective called “The Sun Remembers.” He won the 1995 Associated Press Sports Editors feature writing award for a piece on Cal Ripken Jr. and was one of three finalists for the 1985 Pulitzer Prize in Specialized Reporting. A native of Catonsville, he is an avid, if oft-frustrated gardener who, for 10 years, wrote a nationally-syndicated column, "The Real Dirt."
