Barring any physical setbacks, the Orioles plan on activating catcher
Chavez (left hamstring) played in his second minor-league rehab game on Tuesday -- his first at low Class-A Delvarva -- going hitless in four at bats. He is 0-for-8 in two games. He is slated to play in two more games for the Shorebirds before joining the Orioles.
Teagarden (back) is slated to join Chavez in the Delmarva lineup on Wednesday. Teagarden's minor-league rehab assignment, which included stops with in the Gulf Coast League and Double-A Bowie, was sidetracked when he suffered a bruised hand Sunday. If he gets through catching Wednesday and makes one more start, the Orioles will will likely activate him Friday.
Teagarden is 3-for-15 in six minor-league rehab games.
