All good things must come to an end, and today is the final day of
Luggage and packed boxes are all around the Ed Smith Stadium complex. Tractor trailers started transporting players' automobiles last night. (There's one parked in front of the complex right now.) There's a relaxed atmosphere in the clubhouse.
Everyone's ready to head north.
But first, the Orioles will finish their exhibition schedule here with a game against State College of Florida, a junior college located here in the Sarasota-Bradenton area.
The Orioles will provide pitching for both teams.
Since this is an exhibition against the college team, don't look too much into Wada's stat line. His pitch count will be interesting. But the Orioles still need to figure out whether he's in the Opening Day starting rotation or if he will stay in Sarasota for extended spring training for more seasoning.
