Sure, the title evokes about 82 percent of all horror films released during the past six years. And its basic description leaves much to be desired: Five friends go to a cabin in the woods. There is a mystery with said cabin in the woods. But buzz is surprisingly good for what's being described as a witty, subversive take (Joss Whedon wrote the script with Drew Goddard) on the horror genre, and one that still manages to be pretty freakin' scary. Our excitement level: 8. High for a horror film, yes. But Whedon really can do no wrong in our book. And we're all for something that makes horror movies fun and scary again.
