Want to see more fire trucks than in the local Fourth of July parade? Head to the Fire Museum of Maryland in Timonium. There, you'll see horse-drawn fire trucks and learn about the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904. Younger children will especially like the play room's firefighter dress-up costumes and a fire truck they can climb on (tour guides will tut-tut you for touching the trucks in the main display hall). Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays through December. Admission is $12 for adults and $5 for kids 2-18.
