sprained ankle

. His status is in question for Friday night's preseason game against the

Detroit Lions

The full list of non-participants includes wide receivers

David Reed

and Devin Goda; tight ends

Ed Dickson

Dennis Pitta

; linebackers

Terrell Suggs

Darryl Blackstock

; and defensive tackle

Ryan McBean

Oh, and one more man returned to the practice field Wednesday: former Ravens head coach

Brian Billick

, who attended practice with play-by-play partner Thom Brennaman in advance of Friday night's telecast on FOX.
