Sanders was given a regularly scheduled day off after participating in two practices yesterday. He spent the morning yelling instructions to the young defensive backs from the sidelines in street clothes.
"I've got to gauge my body, and I don't want to go three straight, you know two straight take one off," Sanders said. "You know two a day is pretty tough on me."
Billick plans on giving some of the veterans an occasional day off during training camp to keep them fresh.
"It's programmed in terms of what he [Deion] was going to do today, went two hard ones yesterday, you saw him rehabbing and training a little bit this morning...and he will be back out tomorrow," coach
The secondary didn't miss a beat without Sanders, recording six interceptions including three picks by Defensive Player of the Year
"Looked like the Ed Reed of old. [I] love it," Billick said.

"They've got to be better, they got betrayed a lot by what was going on around them but that can't be an excuse," Billick said. "They've got to make what's around them better."
"Twenty one's [draft pick] done, [No.] 23's done. You're here if you want to be here. It's clear cut," Billick said.
With Dan Cody out for an indefinite period of time after yesterday's knee sprain, the Ravens may look to the free agent market to add depth at linebacker and continue to leave open the possibility of
"Peter's a viable option for us, that's really up to Peter," Billick said. "That certainly would be attractive to us but that's got to be something Peter wants as well."
Billick felt the second day of training camp showed plenty of room for improvement.
"Well it's good news, bad news. The good news is my team intercepted. The bad news is my team threw the interceptions," he said.
