Redskins, Jenni Rivera and an unfaithful Coco lead off a dreary Monday on the web

It's entirely possibly that I'm fudging the online trends this morning to give more weight to news of a monkey in fancy coat wandering around an Ikea. It is just that depressing today and who knows if even Ikea monkey can counteract this clinical case of Mondays.

First up, The Redskins even without RGIII embarrassed the Ravens and mopped the floor with them in overtime. I'm telling you people the Ravens really need to think about just pulling a quarterback off the street. It's worked for Washington and Pittsburgh. Why not us?

Meanwhile, fans of Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera are mourning after news she was killed in a plane crash in Mexico.

Finally, love is dead. Ice-T and his wife Coco are fighting after TMZ caught Coco macking on another dude. Say it ain't so Coco!

Other loose ends include: Australia is advising people not use Apple Maps after some epic wrong turns, the European Union has won the Nobel Peace Prize and the fallout from legal weed continues after two burnouts poisoned their college classmates with pot brownies.

Redskins
Trending on: Google Trends,
Why: A week after Pittsburgh Steelers’ third-string quarterback Charlie Batch beat the Ravens, Redskins rookie backup Kirk Cousins tied the game with a touchdown pass and two-point conversion with 29 seconds left in regulation. The Redskins then won it in overtime as Richard Crawford’s 64-yard punt return set up Kai Forbath’s game-winning 34-yard field goal in the Ravens’ 31-28 loss in front of an announced 81,178 at FedEx Field. [The Baltimore Sun]

Ikea Monkey
Trending on: Reddit, Gawker
According to various reports, a very fashionably dressed monkey was found wandering around an Ikea in Toronto. Apparently, the monkey, who was wearing a shearling coat and a diaper, was brought to the store by his owners and left in the car while they went inside. But, as you might have guessed from his coat, this wasn't your regular, run-of-the-mill monkey, content to stay in the car while his owners had all the shopping fun [Gawker]
