Anne Frank tree

The chestnut tree in which Dutch diarist Anne Frank found comfort while she hid from the Nazis during World War II, collapsed in Amsterdam Monday in heavy wind and rain. The 150-year-old white horse chestnut tree had developed fungus, and saplings from the tree were planted in an Amsterdam park last year. Reuters photo
