Maryland will open its final Atlantic Coast Conference season on the road at Florida State on Oct. 5 and close the schedule -- as if often does -- against North Carolina State on Nov. 30.
The ACC has made a habit of matching up the Terps and Wolfpack in the last game. This will be the third time in four seasons the teams have met in the regular-season finale.
But this game in Raleigh, N.C., will be different -- Maryland's last ACC game before the Terps head to the Big Ten,
The ACC announced dates for the 2013 schedule Monday. Maryland’s league and non-conference opponents were already known.
Times for the games have not been announced.
Other highlights of Maryland’s schedule:
* Maryland and ACC newcomer Syracuse will meet at Byrd Stadium on Nov. 9. Next season will be Syracuse's first in the ACC. Maryland will begin in the Big Ten in 2014. But the two schools will overlap in the ACC by a year.
* The Terps will again not participate in a prime-time matchup on Thursday night. The Thursday night schedule begins with North Carolina at South Carolina (Aug. 29) and ends with Georgia Tech at Clemson (Nov. 14).
* The Terps will play at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore against West Virginia on Sept. 21.
* Maryland has an early and a late bye. The weeks off are Sept. 28 and Nov. 2.
