'Rubber' dresses at Cupcake

Lisa Schatz, owner of Cupcake, is following the success of the Christopher Collins collection with the addition of Pleasure Doing Business, a Los Angeles-based line known for its bandage dresses. Schatz thinks she's found a winner with the company's new "rubber" dresses. "Despite the fact that they are 10 percent rubber they feel soft," Schatz says. "And they hold you in like a pair of Spanx." The two types of dresses Schatz has in stock are New Year's Eve-worthy. The first, a strapless blue number, has the appearance of denim. The second, a black and copper dress with a poofy skirt, is also a winner. "These are special occasion, party, New Year's Eve, birthday, going out dresses," Schatz says. Need an additional reason to wear it? Celebs such as Mary-Kate Olsen, Kristin Cavallari and Rihanna wear it. Find the "denim" dress and black and copper dress by Pleasure Doing Business for $379 each at Cupcake, 813 S. Broadway St. Call 410-522-0941.
