With Baltimore County Superintendent Joe A. Hairston's announcement that he will be leaving at the end of the school year, county leaders and advocates should put on hold their discussions about changes to the composition of the school board. The problems of accountability, responsiveness and transparency that led to the push for changes may will be solved by new leadership for the system. |
