Although it wasn't quite a vintage performance for Terrell Suggs, the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year turned in his best performance since returning from a partially torn Achilles tendon.
Despite his torn right biceps, Suggs repeatedly bull-rushed standout offensive tackle Ryan Clady into the Denver Broncos' backfield during a 38-35 double-overtime win in an AFC divisional-round playoffs.
The 2011 NFL Defensive Player of the Year finished with a season-high 10 tackles, two sacks, one forced fumble, one tackle for a loss, a quarterback hit and one pass deflection where he dropped back into coverage.
Even though Suggs obviously still isn't 100 percent, it was his strongest game since returning in October against the Houston Texans from an Achilles injury that required surgery.
And the timing was excellent for the Ravens as Suggs' performance helped them advance to the AFC championship game against the New Engand Patriots. Now, the Ravens get Suggs playing at a higher level as they prepare for a rematch of last year's AFC title game against Tom Brady and Company.
The pair of sacks against Denver matched Suggs' regular-season total.
Suggs finished the regular season with 22 tackles and four pass deflections.
