Titans' win over Ravens confounds the analysts

Just when you think you've gotten the

NFL

all figured out, something like this happens:

Titans

26,

Ravens

13.

Really, now, who saw this coming? A week earlier, the Titans staggered through the first 3½ quarters and were fortunate to still be around at the end of a 16-14 loss at Jacksonville.

As for Baltimore, the Ravens were fresh from a 35-7 assault of Pittsburgh that had analysts -- professional and otherwise -- all atwitter on Twitter and virtually every other medium.

In short, the Ravens were the toast of the NFL, and the Titans were, well, toast.

"

ESPN

was kind of saying that those guys were

Super Bowl

champs this year, predicting them to win it all," Titans tight end

Jared Cook

said. "It's good to come out and have a game like this. Now we've got to keep it rolling."
