Distance from Baltimore: 1,449 miles, about a five-hour flight
Why it's hot: Visit Blue Mountains National Park on Jamaica's eastern edge for a spectacular adventure. Take a sip of the local Blue Mountain Coffee or for those more energetic visitors, hike the trails through the range that peaks at 7,402 feet. If you need to slow down, spend the day at Seven Mile Beach in Negril, but be aware that the area is home to adults-only resorts and nude sunbathers. Take a moment to honor Jamaicas musical legend, Bob Marley, at the Bob Marley Centre and Mausoleum near St. Ann's Bay. The island also offers plenty of golfing, water sports, and areas to view the local fauna and natural beauty.
Don't miss: The waterfalls of Jamaica. Somerset Falls, above, is hidden amid a rain forest near Port Antonio. Dunns River Falls and Park in Ocho Rios falls over 600 feet before eventually flowing out into the Caribbean Sea. There are several lagoons and pools on the path upward for visitors to unwind in as they meander toward the top.
