As Adam goes, so go the O's: Adam Jones enters Thursday's series finale in Minnesota with six hits in 13 at-bats in the series, including a pair of home runs. There is no question that he is the straw that stirs the Orioles offense, but that's too big a job for one player. Fortunately, it's starting to look like he's going to get more help in the second half. Nick Markakis has come back from wrist surgery on a mission. He has seven hits in 12 at-bats in the first three games of the Twins series and is batting .423 since he came off the disabled list. Jim Thome has a .364 on-base percentage since he joined the lineup, and Matt Wieters continues to be a consistent presence at the plate.
