GS: 16 | GP: 16 | Snaps: 1,019 Season in review: After easing his way into training camp, Birk was once again a rock in the middle of the offensive line once the games started to count in the standings. He was the only lineman to start every game at the same position. Birk quietly played well all season and elevated his play during the playoffs. Signature moment: In the 2011 playoffs, Birk struggled against New England Patriots nose tackle Vince Wilfork. This time around, Birk neutralized him in the AFC title game, one of his best games of the year. Stat that stands out: 112 -- straight regular-season starts for Birk, including all 72 games with the Ravens. Pro Football Focus grade: +15.1 overall | -4.0 as a pass blocker | +14.4 as a run blocker | +4.7 miscellaneous. Outlook for 2013 and beyond: Like Ray Lewis, Birk also retired after the Ravens won the Super Bowl.
