Even though the rotation put even more strain on the bullpen last week, the Orioles didn't wilt under the extra burden. Hard-throwing Tommy Hunter (pictured) stepped into the breach and played an important role in three victories. Hunter got off to a rocky start this year, but has settled well into an early middle role and run up a string of 15 2/3 scoreless innings and 10 scoreless appearances. Troy Patton had a shaky outing against the Twins on Saturday, but Pedro Strop seems to have regained his command and T.J. McFarland delivered a big performance in Friday's exciting comeback win. Oh yeah, and Jim Johnson set a new O's record with his 35th consecutive save Friday. Overall, the 'pen was 2-0 with a solid 1.99 combined ERA. Grade: A-
