40 ounce can of yams (or fresh peeled and cut sweet potatoes) 1/4 cup brown sugar 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place juice from can of yams, or if using fresh 2 cups of water and 3 tablespoon of butter, in a 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg together in pan. Add yams and place in oven covered. Cook for 30 minutes (45 minutes if fresh). Remove from oven and remove cover. Place Peeps on top -- the more the better. Can serve like this but they are better if you broil them for 5 minutes or until slightly melted and browned. I only had six to use but normally would use 12 to 18!
