New Yorkers aren't known for being shy about sharing their opinions, and politics is no exception. Empire State voters go to the polls Tuesday to vote in the increasingly contentious Democratic and Republican primaries, and more than a few celebrities have weighed in on the races. Here's who some New York writers are backing:

Writer and actor John Hodgman is usually joking, but this time around, he's not kidding: He's for Hillary.

Prizewinning novelist Junot Diaz spoke to the Boston Globe last week about why he opposes Trump for his immigration policies. But when it comes to the Democratic candidates, he's undecided.

"Neither of them is an ideal candidate for me. Im part of the people who are more neutral. Im just waiting for the dust to settle so that we can turn our guns against the Republicans. For me, the battle isnt Hillary vs. Sanders. And I understand that for some people thats the battle. But for me, more than anything, its stopping a Republican president.

But a couple of authors are supporting Donald Trump (or thinking about it), including conservative pundit Ann Coulter.
