Shuckers' brunch and many TVs make it a game-day hotspot

While many Baltimoreans associate Shuckers of Fells Point with its outdoor patio and picturesque views of the harbor, it has long been a good, if underrated, place to watch a game.

Like Looney's Pub in Canton, Shuckers separates itself from surrounding bars with its abundance of TVs. On Sunday, 40 flat-screen TVs will be on at a time, with most tuned (appropriately) to the Ravens' Battle of the Beltways against the Redskins. So even if you can't grab the comfortable leather couch in the back, there will still be plenty of seats and screens available.

You could improve your chances of a snagging a great seat by using Shuckers as a pregame spot. It opens at 10 a.m. for brunch and has a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar, a familiar but necessary component to any Sunday Funday.

Brunch ends as the 1 p.m. games kick off, but the Bloody Mary bar remains open until 5 p.m. That's a potentially long day, so remember to pace yourself and, if needed, grab one of the many cabs circulating around Fells Point.

Drinks: All day Sunday, Bud Light and Miller Lite drafts are $2.50, while Stella Artois and Blue Moon drafts cost $4. For brunch, $5.45 gets Absolut vodka on ice, which you then can take to the Bloody Mary bar. If mimosas are more your speed, they cost $3.

Food: It's standard bar food at Shuckers: burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders and the requisite seafood options. On the day of a game, wings, a half-pound of steamed shrimp and the slider of the day (chef's choice) are each $6.95.

Atmosphere: Laid-back and instantly familiar. Shuckers, known for its outdoor seating, has plenty of space inside, too, making it a fine spot for a Ravens game with a large group of friends.

Parking: Metered closest to Shuckers, but some streets in Fells Point have free parking if you can find a space.
