Contemporary American Theatre Festival

Now in its 22nd season, the Contemporary American Theatre Festival in historic Shepherdstown has a substantial record -- 90 new American plays (34 of them world premieres) by 65 playwrights. Five works will added to the tally this summer: "The Exceptionals," by Bob Clyman; "In A Forest, Dark and Deep," (pictured) by Neil LaBute; "Captors," by Evan M. Wiener; and the world premieres of "Gidion's Knot" by Johnna Adams and "Barcelona," by Bess Wohl. Productions run in rotating repertory July 6 to July 29.
