Two musicals that played the Hippodrome earlier this year are at the Kennedy Center -- Tony Award-winning "Memphis," which runs through July 1; and "The Addams Family," July 10 to 29. Both are entertaining; "Memphis" is more than that, with a thoughtful examination of music and race. Also playing through July 1: "First You Dream: The Music of Kander and Ebb" originated at Signature Theatre. A cast of six and orchestra of 22 offer a rich exploration of the Broadway team's legacy, including "Cabaret" and "Chicago." Dance fans will want to note the rare visit by the Paris Opera Ballet, performing one of the most famous works in their repertoire, "Giselle." Performances are July 5 to July 8.
