Lecture series The Annapolis Maritime Museum's annual winter lecture series kicks off at 7 p.m. with "What Are Chesapeake Maritime Collectibles Worth?" A panel of experts, comprised of Jane Campbell-Chambliss, Tom Dodson, Fred Hecklinger and Jeff Schaub, will appraise a variety of pre-selected nautical antiques and artifacts provided by members of the audience. Annual breakfast Anne Arundel Community College hosts the 32nd annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 21, in the David S. Jenkins Gymnasium on the Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway. The event honors community members who emulate King's vision and schoolchildren in the Visionary Kids Contest. Book sale The Parole Rotary Books for International Goodwill Project will hold a book sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at 2000 Capital Drive in Annapolis.
