BGE wants to increase its distribution charges about $6.62 a month for the typical residential electric customer and about $4.26 a month for the typical residential gas customer. Maryland's Public Service Commission, which is expected to rule on the case next month, is holding five hearings over 10 days, each scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.:
