Why is it that the state budget for 2013 is $500 million larger than the budget we are surviving on this year? Did we not have enough money to pay for firefighters, teachers and police? Why did the House and Senate see fit to pass several other bills transferring millions of taxpayer dollars to the pockets of race track owners, favored developers, and the like? Shouldn't these be cut first, if an additional half-billion dollars is truly not enough to satisfy the insatiable appetite for more "investing" of my money?
When will the Fourth Estate start to do its job and put the hard questions to the politicians rather than just repeat the one party line?
