In reference to Attorney General
I have a right as a citizen of Maryland to freely walk the streets of any city without fear of harm or death. The only way I would be able to do this in Baltimore is to be armed as well as the thugs, gangs and drug dealers who control most streets and corners. You want to save lives of young people, then allow law-abiding citizens to obtain carry permits without all your unconstitutional requirements. It is not your job to set policy, it is your job to enforce the law.
The federal court has spoken on Maryland's unconstitutional limits on handgun permits so why are you wasting money pushing your agenda to higher courts? Just allow citizens of Maryland their right to carry or turn your own gun permit in and walk our streets unarmed just like we have to.
Bernard J. Reiter, Baltimore
