We never know what people are thinking, nor can we control their actions, but this is a perfect example of how this kind of app could have been used.
Yes, there were faculty members who were in the lunch room at the time of the shooting who responded immediately and contained the suspect until officers arrived.
However, if students had a way to contact officers when they saw the gun in the young man's hands they could have been notified quicker. This app will increase safety in all schools, and I think students and parents can feel more comfortable knowing that they are in a safer environment.
