Your admiring endorsement of President Barack Obama ("Obama for president," Nov. 4) came as no surprise to those followers of your editorial page. After four years of failed leadership, you have indicated that, "He will need to do a better job in the next four years, but he must be allowed to finish the job."
That remark caused me to remember a Latin quip from my law school days. "Male secum agit arger, medicum qui heredem facit." Translated it means, The sick man does himself no favor when he makes the doctor his heir.
The nation has suffered for four years with the same doctor. Why would anyone give him four more years?
