I, along with many others I'm sure, would like to know where to go and what to do in order to oppose the
I wanted to send my money directly to them, but it turned out they had no need of that — and, if truth be told, they were already taking plenty of my money.
I approached several politicians from both parties with offers of help, but found out they were already working hard to protect that sacrosanct top 1 percent. Similarly, most of the churches I tried turned out to be tacitly working on their behalf as well (they need revenue too).
And, of course, who could forget the work of the Maryland Public Policy Institute, which is always beating the drum for zeroing out public transit budgets and any other publicly funded services that benefit feckless, imprudent Baltimore City residents like myself?
No luck. So I'm comforting myself with the thought that we all should simply do nothing, and let the status quo continue. Then, I am sure, all will be well.
