Let me see if I understand this. The
The money generated by our three existing casinos since gambling was re-established in 2008 has not even made a dent in our state's budget deficit. But it has to go on the November ballot because we need it! What about the electricity generated by an offshore wind farm near Ocean City? Don't we need electricity to make the lights twinkle and the bells chime in those casinos, let alone provide carbon-free power for Maryland homes and businesses?
Priorities are way out of whack in this state. Our state government has been lead by campaign contributions, not by the pressing need to help our planet with clean energy. We'll be living with the results of global warming but at least we'll be able to gamble!
