It's been 11 years since the Ravens played a home game on Christmas Eve. What did you do after the game? This year, fans will be able to stay in their favorite haunts long after the final play as many area taverns are sticking with their regular Saturday night hours.

Some of those haunts are keeping their kitchens open. Open for regular Saturday service on Christmas Eve are Regi's (1002 Light St., 410-539-7344, regisamericanbistro.com) and Ryleigh's Oyster (36 E. Cross St., 410-539-2093, ryleighs.com) in Federal Hill, Downtown's Franc & Nic's West End Grille (511 W. Pratt St., 410-685-6800, frankandnics.com) and Alewife (21 N. Eutaw St., 410-545-5112, alewifebaltimore.com), and Kooper's Tavern (1702 Thames St., 410-563-5423, koopers.com) and Slainte (1700 Thames St., 410-563-6600, slaintepub.com) in Fells Point.

Restaurants serving a traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes menu, along with their regular menus, on Christmas Eve include Aldo's (306 S. High St., 410-727-0700, aldositaly.com) ‎and Caesar's Den (223 S. High St., 410-547-0820, caesarsden.com) in Little Italy and Aida Cafe & Wine Bar (6741 Columbia Gateway Drive, 410-953-0500, aidabistro.com) ‎in Columbia, which will be serving the special menu on Dec. 23 as well.

One of the most intriguing holiday options this year is Towson's Havana Road (8 W. Pennsylvania Ave., 410-494-8222, havanaroad.com), which will be serving a traditional Cuban Christmas Eve feast, including a whole roasted pig. Other non-traditional options are at the Ambassador Dining Room (3811 Canterbury Road, 410-366-1484, ambassadordining.com‎) in Tuscany-Canterbury, Akbar (823 N. Charles St., 410-539-0308, akbar-restaurant.com) in Mount Vernon and Darbar (1911 Aliceanna St., 410-563-8008, darbarbaltimore.com) in Fells Point.

Probably because Christmas Eve falls on a Saturday night this year, restaurants that might ordinarily close are staying open. Restaurants offering fixed-price menus, usually along with regular menu options, include Bryan Voltaggio's Volt (228 N. Market St., 301-696-8658, voltrestaurant.com) in Frederick, Petit Louis (4800 Roland Ave., 410-366-9393) in Roland Park, which is also offering its regular menu, and Charleston (1000 Lancaster St., 410-332-7373‎, charlestonrestaruant.com) in Harbor East.

Good places for gatherings of friends include Henninger's (1812 Bank St., 410-342-2172, henningerstavern.com) in Upper Fells Point, Vino Rosina (507 S Exeter St., 410-528-8600, vinorosina.com), Cinghiale (822 Lancaster St., 410-547-8282, cgeno.com) and Pazo (1425 Aliceanna St., 410-534-7296, pazorestaurant.com) in Harbor East and 13.5 Wine Bar (1117 W. 36th St., 410-889-1064, 5winebar.com)‎ in Hampden.

All of the area Rams Head restaurants (ramsheadtavern.com) are open Christmas Eve. They include Rams Head Tavern Annapolis (33 West St., 310-268-4545), Rams Head Tavern Savage (8600 Foundry St., Savage, 301-604-3454) and Rams Head Roadhouse (1773 General Highway, 410-849-8058).

Downtown Christmas Eve dining options include Morton's the Steakhouse (300 S. Charles St., 410-547-8255, mortons.com), Sotto Sopra (405 N. Charles St., 410-625-0534, sottosoprainc.com) and Ruth's Chris Steak Houses (serioussteaks.com).

Finally, Victoria Gastro Pub (8201 Snowden River Parkway, 410-750-1880 victoriagastropub.com) in Columbia is holding an Ugly Sweater Christmas party until 10 p.m., and Wit & Wisdom (200 International Drive, 410-576-5800, witandwisdombaltimore.com), the restaurant in the new Four Seasons Hotel Baltimore, is open on Christmas Eve.

The long Christmas dinner Dec. 25 is still a quiet dining day. Eichenkranz (611 Fagley St., 410-563-7577) will be open again on Christmas Day, from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. The German restaurant in Brewers Hill serves what may be the currently longest-running Christmas dinner in the Baltimore area.

Regi's in Federal Hill is serving a Christmas Day brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sotto Sopra is open on Christmas Day from noon to 10 p.m. Wit & Wisdom is serving a $105 fixed-price, three-course menu from noon to 8 p.m., and Bistro 300 (300 Light St., 410-528-1234) at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore is serving a lunch buffet from noon to 6 p.m.

Area Rams Head restaurants are opening at 6 p.m.

For old-times' sake, Wing Wah (509 Reisterstown Road, 410-653-0606) in Pikesville, China Moon in Reisterstown (100 Chartley Drive, 410-833-3992) and Szechuan House (1427 York Road, 410-825-8181, szechuanhouse.net) in Timonium are open regular hours on Christmas Day, as is Lutherville's Joey Chiu's (10801 Falls Road, 410-823-1125, joeychiurestaurant.com), where reservations are strongly encouraged for a special Christmas Day brunch.
