The Howard County Historical Society will host a book signing and discussion for Jehanne Wake, author of "Sisters of Fortune: America's Caton Sisters at Home and Abroad," at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25, at 8328 Court Ave. The Caton sisters, known as the "Three American Graces," were the granddaughters of Charles Carroll of Carrollton. Theater and lunch The Ellicott Senior Center sponsors a bus trip to the Rainbow Dinner Theater in Paradise, Pa., on Thursday, April 12. The day trip includes bus, show, lunch and gratuities. Buffet lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and the show, "The Dixie Swim Club," begins at 1 p.m. The bus departs at 9:30 a.m. and returns at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $79 per person. Information: 410-313-1400. Driver safety program The Ellicott City Senior Center presents the American Association of Retired Persons' driver safety program from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 16. The class covers the rules of the road, defensive driving techniques and how to operate a vehicle more safely. The course also reviews how to make adjustments to accommodate age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time. The cost is $14, $12 for AARP members.
