Beginning Wednesday, meetings of the city's spending, zoning and liquor boards will be broadcast on the city's cable channel, TV25, and online.
The first meeting broadcast will be the Board of Estimates at 9 a.m. The city already televises City Council meetings and some committee hearings.
The announcement of the televised hearings sparked infighting at City Hall. Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake put out a news release about the broadcasts. City Council President Bernard C. "Jack" Young accused the mayor of "unscrupulously" seeking credit for the initiative, which he proposed two years ago.
