Work and weekend events have shut down several city thoroughfares, officials said.
A crane lift is expected to shut down 20th Street between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. from
A portion of Falls Road at the intersection of Northern Parkway will be closed from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a crane lift and tree work. At least one lane is expected to remain open in each direction. Officials warn of delays.
The Let's Eat Charles Street festival will close Charles Street between Saratoga and Mulberry streets from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Eutaw Street will be closed for the annual Hippodrome Foodie event between Fayette and Baltimore streets from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
The Baltimore City Department of Transportation also announced that utility work will close a portion of Light Street to trucks and oversized vehicles, beginning 6 a.m. Sunday. The closure will last about three weeks.
A double lane closure is planned for southbound Light Street between Pratt and Lee streets.
Those large vehicles traveling on eastbound Conway Street will not be allowed to access southbound Light Street. Detour signs will be posted.
