Police investigate two shootings, one stabbing in Baltimore

City police were investigating three separate incidents — a stabbing in Northwest Baltimore, a shooting in West Baltimore and a shooting in East Baltimore — that left three men injured Monday.

Shortly before 5 p.m., police were called to the 5100 block of Reisterstown Road in the Woodmere neighborhood of Northwest Baltimore for reports of a man who had been stabbed.

Detectives found a man stabbed in the chest, said Detective Nicole Monroe, a police spokeswoman.

"They believe he was attacked by at least two to three individuals, and after he was stabbed, he stumbled into the street and it caused the street to be closed for some time," Monroe said.

Shortly before 10 p.m., detectives were called to the 1500 block of McKean Avenue in the Sandtown-Winchester neighborhood of West Baltimore for reports of a man who had been shot.

Detectives found a man with gunshot wounds, Monroe said.

Homicide detectives were then called to the scene because of the seriousness of the man's injuries, Monroe said.

About 11 p.m., detectives began investigating reports of another man shot in the 700 block of East Preston Street in the Johnston Square neighborhood of East Baltimore, police said.

No other information was immediately available.

Anyone with information on the stabbing in Northwest is asked to call Northwest detectives at 410-396-2466, Monroe said.
