Margel L. Burton, a retired factory worker and former longtime
The daughter of farmers, the former Margel Love Gray was born and raised in Gore, W.Va., where she graduated from high school.
In 1949, she married Orlif Burton and moved to Baltimore. They later settled in North Point Village, where they lived for many years.
Mr. Burton, who was a shipping manager for Glidden Corp., died in 1982.
Mrs. Burton worked in the factory of Continental Can Co.'s plastics division for 20 years until retiring in the late 1980s.

Mrs. Burton, who moved to Durham in 2009, enjoyed home decorating and art projects.
"She was also an avid gardener and was an excellent seamstress," said Ms. Urben.
A celebration of Mrs. Burton's life will be held at 1 p.m. April 27 at Timber Ridge Christian Church, County Route 13, High View, W.Va.
In addition to Ms. Urben, Mrs. Burton is survived by a son, Stewart Burton of Winchester, Va.; another daughter, Brenda Brokke of Cary, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
