Timothy P. Kline, a retired Baltimore produce vendor, died Nov. 13 of
The son of a Domino Sugars supervisor and a homemaker, Timothy Peter Kline was born in Baltimore and raised in
He was a 1963 graduate of Milford Mill High School, where he played varsity football and baseball.
Mr. Kline began his produce career working for his brother, the late William A. "Bill" Kline, who owned Valene's Market on
He established his own produce business, T. Kline & Son, in the early 1980s.
"It provided quality produce to Baltimore's fine restaurants, some of which included
He joined L&M Produce in Jessup in the early 1990s, where he was produce manager. He retired in 2008 from Coastal Sunbelt shortly after it had acquired L&M Produce.
"He took great pride in the fresh fruit and vegetables L&M distributed that met his high standards," his son said.
Mr. Kline was an accomplished woodworker and enjoyed collecting and refinishing antique furniture.

In addition to his son, Mr. Kline is survived by a sister, Millicent Kennedy of Sarasota, Fla.; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His marriage to the former Ruth Berger ended in divorce.
