As of 9 a.m. Friday, traffic was slow on the outer loop of I-695 near Security Boulevard, due to an accident.
Accidents were slowing traffic on Ritchie Highway near College Parkway in Anne Arundel County, and Washington Boulevard near Route 32 in Elkridge.
Debris in the road was slowing traffic on I-795 northbound near Owings Mills Boulevard in Baltimore County.
A section of York Road between 41st Street and Old Cold Spring Lane in Baltimore City and parts of East Cold Spring Lane near Morgan State University in Baltimore City are closed for repairs to broken water mains.
Westbound lanes of Route 40 near the Hatem Memorial Bridge in Cecil County are closed to due a water main break. Motorists are advised to use Route 222 as an alternative.
Amtrak is advising Acela Express and Northeast Regional line patrons that service has resumed to and from New York City effective Friday.
The Maryland Transit Administration is advising MARC patrons headed for Aberdeen that Amtrak train 148, which has a 3:02 p.m. departure time from Union Station in Washington and which honors MARC weekly and monthly tickets to Aberdeen only, will not operate on Friday. Morning Amtrak trains 151 and 181 and afternoon Amtrak 188 will operate.
The Maryland State Highway Administration is warning motorists that the Baltimore-Washington Parkway will close in both directions near West Nursery Road in Anne Arundel County starting at 8 p.m. Friday and will be closed on and off throughout the weekend for bridge replacement work. West Nursery Road over the parkway, or Route 295, also will be closed starting Friday evening and continuing through much of the weekend. Motorists are warned to expect significant traffic disturbances.
Monument Street is closed between Wolfe Street and Patterson Park Avenue in East Baltimore, due to sinkhole repairs. Maryland Transit Administration bus 35 has been diverted.Copyright © 2015, Los Angeles Times
