Outlook: The Bulldogs were picked by league coaches to win the CIAA Northern Division. Senior guard and Mervo grad Byron Westmorland (14.6 points per game) and senior forward Dameatric Scott (6.6 ppg) were named to the preseason All-Conference team.
Coach: Webb Hatch (14th season, 170-175)
Last year's record: 13-13 overall, 10-6 Capital Athletic Conference
Outlook: The Bobcats have 10 returning players, including four with at least five starts. Frostburg will be led by senior DeSean Antoine (Glen Burnie), who led the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game.
Coach: Leonard Trevino (13th season season, 262-320)
Last year's record: 4-20 overall 1-13 Landmark Conference
Outlook: The Gophers will be led by Trae Lindsay (Patapsco) who had 54 blocked shots last season, breaking his single-season school record of 50 set in 2010-11. He is the school's all-time leader with 133 blocked shots. Alex Noble, who became the first player in the history of Goucher's men's basketball program to score 40 points in a game, also returns.
Coach: Tom Dickman (11th season, 144-116)

Outlook: The Blazers open their first season in the Middle Atlantic Conferences and are picked to finish eighth in the 10-team Commonwealth Conference. Junior forward Cameron Cook (Calvert Hall) returns after leading the team in scoring, averaging 14.1 points and making a team-best 66 3-pointers. Also returning are captains Tyler Justin Stone and Trey Quinn (St. Mary's).
Team: Johns Hopkins
Coach: Bill Nelson (27th season, 414-254)
Last year's record: 15-11 overall, 11-7 Centennial Conference
Outlook: The Blue Jays return their top three scorers from last year in sophomore George Bugarinovic (10.1 ppg), junior Daniel Corbett (8.4) and senior Adam Spengler (8.3). Seniors Alex Pandrangi, who started 10 games and averaged 5.8 points, and Mike Rhoads, who played in all 26 games, also return.
Coach: Kevin Curley (seventh season, 63-65)
Last year's record: 9-16, 6-12 Centennial Conference
Outlook: The Green Terror will have to overcome the loss of their top three leading scorers to graduation. Top returning players include Tyler Rudd (Glen Burnie), Evan Pupelis, Andrew Merlo and Jimmy Cranwell.
Team: St. Mary's
Coach: Chris Harney (eighth season, 136-62)
Last year's record: 20-8 overall record, 13-3 Capital Athletic Conference
Outlook: Expectations again are high for the Seahawks, who are ranked No. 19 nationally in the D3hoops.com preseason poll after winning their fourth consecutive Capital Athletic Conference regular-season title last season. Senior Devin Spencer (Towson Catholic) returns after leading the team with 11.5 points per game.
Coach: Josh Merkel (second season, 12-13)

Coach: Gary Stewart (second season, 6-19)
Last year's record: 6-19 overall, 3-13
Outlook: The Mustangs enter their first season as a member of the Middle Atlantic Conferences and are picked to finish 10th in the Commonwealth Conference. Stevenson will be led by senior Brett Burrier (Winters Mill), who averaged a team-high 14 points, 6.2 rebounds and made 38 3-pointers.
Coach: Rob Nugent (12th season, 108-168)
