Morgan State 71, Texas San Antonio 59: Anthony Hubbard scored 17 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as the visiting Bears defeated the Roadrunners (0-1). Dewayne Jackson added 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Morgan State (1-0).
Pittsburgh 80, Mount St. Mary's 48: Talib Zanna led all scorers with 20 points as the Panthers (1-0) trounced the visiting Mountaineers. Pitt held the Mount (0-1) to 36 percent from the field and 21 second-half points. Xavier Owens led the Mountaineers with 15 points.
Penn 80, UMBC 75: Miles Cartwright scored 21 points as the Quakers (1-0) defeated the visiting Retrievers. Ryan Cook led all scorers with 28 points for UMBC (0-1).
College of Charleston 75, Towson 58: Four different Cougars scored in double figures as Charleston (1-0) defeated the visiting Tigers. For Towson (0-1), Jerelle Benimon scored a game-high 23 points.
Iona 74, Navy 64: The hot-shooting Gaels (1-0) connected on nearly 50 percent of their shots from the field and held the visiting Mids (0-1) to 22 second-half points. Iona's Damika Martinez led all scorers with 26 points, and Kara Pollinger had 17 points for Navy.
Morgan State 72, UMBC 61: The Bears scored 40 first-half points as they defeated the host Retrievers (0-1). Morgan State (1-0) had three players in double figures: Moneshia Davis (10 points), Bianca Jarrett (14 points) and Tracey Carrington (11 points). The Retrievers' Lauren Chase led all scorers with 18 points.
Coppin State 97, Cheyney 41: Ten Eagles scored as the host Eagles (1-0) defeated the Wolves (0-1) by more than 50 points for the second consecutive year. The Eagles' Kyra Coleman led all scorers with 20points.
