Apuzzo led the No. 2 Eagles in two close victories last week as they improved to 16-0 to remain one of two undefeated Division I teams and clinched a share of the Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title for the first time in program history. In a 13-10 win over then-No. 17 Dartmouth on Wednesday, she scored three goals and had two assists, eight draw controls and two caused turnovers. On Saturday against ACC foe and then-No. 13 Virginia Tech, Apuzzo scored the game winner in a 9-7 victory. She scored three of her four goals in the second half and added five draw controls and two caused turnovers. She entered Thursday with 63 goals, 28 assists, 93 draw controls and 18 caused turnovers. A first team All-American last season as the Eagles reached the national championship game for the first time, she set program records with most points (119) and most goals (80).
