Winter enthusiasts will love Snowshoe's 60 slopes and trails, with 42 percent for beginners, 30 percent intermediate, 23 percent more difficult, 5 percent expert and 11 percent freestyle. The 250-acre spot has 15 lifts and a 1,500-foot drop, with its longest slope measuring 1.5 miles.
What's new: An expansion of Cascade at the Silver Creek area of the resort.
What it costs: Adult tickets for weekdays are $65 in advance and $79 at the window. Adult tickets for weekends are $79 in advance or $84 at the window.
