Hot Property: Celebrity home price chops

Share

Like many mortals who have tried to get their listing price and timing in sync during the falling housing market, some celebrities continue to struggle with the timing-pricing formula.

Among them are:

Suzanne Somers– The actress gained fame for her role as the ditsy “Three’s Company” blond and sold a few ThighMasters in her time. But her Palm Springs estate has been on and off the market with Scott Lyle Realtors since 2008. Priced then at $35 million for 65 acres, the funicular-reached mountain home of 11,000 square feet now includes 73 acres and is priced at $17.5 million – a 50% reduction.

Pamela Bowen – From all appearances the actress and ex-wife of KISS frontman Paul Stanley would like to kiss her Bel-Air home goodbye. Returned to the market since an appearance in 2009, the price for the 4,307 square feet of house and guesthouse is now $4.895 million – an 11% reduction.

Michelle Stafford – Perhaps “The Young and the Restless” star has become restless. She recently dropped the price on her Los Feliz home, which was first listed last summer. Listing agent Stephanie Vitacco reports the new prices is $2.395 million – a 4% reduction.

The actresses are in good company: Meg Ryan and Ryan Seacrest re-listed their homes this week at discounts.
