Why the conspicuous absence of Christopher Knight, the most vocal LA Times critic about this controversy? And I think that comment about the LA/NYC dichotomy a bit disingenous. The NY Times seems just as baffled and dismayed that LACMA lost out on such an important collection as the LA Times was.

It's amusing that Broad considers LACMA and the Met to be peers. And just think,the Met got there without Broad's guidance.
