Cutting the cable cord is not as hard as it seems
Like a lot of people, Virginia wants to do away with her cable service. She spent $100 for a new antenna so she could still watch local channels.
It didn’t work out well. The antenna had trouble pulling in all the channels.

Virginia asks: Is it really this hard to cut the cable cord?
The answer: No, not really.
Saying adios to cable means you’ll still need a high-speed Internet connection so you can watch favorite shows or movies via online services such as Hulu or Netflix. Net access will run about $50 a month.
But you’ll likely also need an indoor antenna for local channels. The hundred bucks Virigina spent seems pricey to me. I’ve heard from a number of people who recommend the Mohu Leaf antenna.
It’s available from Amazon for about $40. (That’s where I got mine.)
